Network Administrator


Overview

The Network Administrator program will prepare students for careers in computer networking through education in network installation, maintenance, management, and implementation. Students will become familiar with working with Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Linux, and Microsoft Office.

  • Internetworking
  • Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices
  • Implementing Windows 2003 Network Infrastructure

Training in this program will prepare students for certification examinations in:

  • Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)
  • A+
  • Network+ and Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

Students will also take a career and employment strategies course that will provide techniques on job interviewing, resume preparation, writing thank you letters, and job search management.

These networking classes focus on preparing students to manage and maintain computers and network installations in small to mid-sized organizations. Graduates of our program may find careers as:
